Lesson Studies

3 July 2014 : What an exciting day!  Many thanks to Teacher Evon, and Teacher Adriana, for allowing me to work with their students.  The Professional Sharing that took place as part of this event is what makes the whole sister school relationship so valuable.

Professional Discussions

July 1st: Today I met with the Maths Teachers, and started the conversational ball rolling about some of the work we are planning to do while I am here.  It is quite a busy schedule, with lesson studies, classroom visits, Saturday's workshop, and the workshops next Monday with the Form 3 and 5 students.

Good Morning DPM

30 June 2014 : A chance to introduce myself to the whole school.  Not sure that the students understood my three phrases of Malay, spoken in my Aussie accent, but they were very polite, and seem pleased to see me!

More Tour on Sunday

 29th June 2014

In the morning Jacqui was brought to the 'Tamu Gaya Street' or Sunday market by Teacher Artina and her husband.  In Malay language, ‘Tamu’ means open-air market. Traditionally a place where farmers, fishermen and vendors trade their produce, Sabah’s Tamu has certainly evolved to become a favorite hang-out place for locals and tourists.

In the afternoon, Jacqui and the 'Kelab Pencinta Alam' - KPA, with Teacher Karen and Teacher Melva went to Rasa Ria Resort to visit our adopted 'Orang Utan'.

Appreciation to TSC

Dear Madam Janet,

Thank you very much for attending to us throughout our stay there.  We greatly appreciate your kind and warmest gesture.  We hope we didn't intrude on your daily routine.  We are happily waiting to see you soon.

Dear Mr. Alby and Mr. Con,

First of all, thank you for accepting us to visit your school and arranging our visit to Brunswick School in Melbourne.  We greatly appreciate your warm and sincere hospitality.
Thank you for sharing to us your expertise.  The information and knowledge we get are truely superb.  We did shared them to our Principal and all the staff here.  We hope you don't mind if we adapt one or two of what we learnt there to be practiced here.

Once again, thank you for sacrificing your time eventhough we know that you're very busy with your school responsibility.

To All our host family,

Thank you for having us as one of your family in your house.  We hope we didn't trouble you with our presence.  We really had a blast time and enjoyed the food you served us.  We hope that we will still be welcome the next time we knock your doors.

Dear Teachers and School Staff,

Thanks a billion for sharing with us your knowledge.  We were very honoured and grateful to be given the opportunity to observe how the teaching and learning process in your school.  We do learn a lot and had shared them with our colleague.
