Mr Yeo's Visit: February 2015

This Sunday we were pleased to welcome Mr Yeo from our Sister School in Malaysia. After a long flight, and a long drive from Melbourne, we welcomed him to our school with a traditional Australian BBQ - lamb, chicken, corn, beans and salad, followed by cheesecake and chocolate cake.

We are looking forward to a busy and productive week this week, working with him, and showing him the high life of Tallangatta and Wodonga.

The "Tallangatta Secondary College - SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin Teacher Exchange and Curriculum Development program (2014) " was supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-Malaysia Institute of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin

SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin, State Sports School and ‘Lestari’ School is a sub-urban school located 15 km from the Kota Kinabalu City. This school is named after the late Datuk Peter Mojuntin , a prominent local politician from Sabah. This school was officially opened on 27 February 1979 by the former Education Minister at that time, Dato’ Musa Hitam.

The vision of SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin is to become an excellent school by the year 2012. The excellence of this school will be accomplished by: • Achieving excellence in curriculum and co-curricular activities • Producing virtuous and wholesome individuals • Ensuring a systematic environment • Fostering a harmonious relationship in the community and • Providing a safe and conducive environment
